You might be thinking of living in Japan for a bit, and wonder what you can do to keep the sushi on the table.

You're ready to take on the challenge and seek employment utilizing the " world wide web "with great enthusiasm, until you find that it's not as easy to land a great job in Japan - as you once expected.

You've heard that a lot of people ( outside of Japan from English speaking countries ) work as English teachers and make an enormous amount of money. Enough to go back home with to buy a house or new BMW.

The Times read that the high demand for native language teachers is very much alive and well - in Japan.

However, you think to yourself; What else can a foreigner do in Japan, besides teach English?

Well, for starters - many companies in Japan seek foreigners to perform translation work for assignments such as advertising materials, marketing materials, specs for new products. All you do is read and write.

And, there is the IT industry that is always hiring people from English speaking countries. You can work with the top companies in Tokyo or with a mid sized firm in Nagano or Osaka. It's a bit far from the excitement of Tokyo - but they are great places to live.

If you're a model, there are jobs for people who wish to do a bit of modeling. As a matter of fact, I did a few gigs for companies in Tokyo. Pays well, and you have the opportunity to be seen by television program execs - who look for foreign talent in Japan.

And then there's the entertainment industry in Japan. You may have to work in Roppongi or Ginza for those particular jobs. They also pay well, and you would be in the company of some pretty high rollers!

If you simply can not be in Japan while performing your job hunt, the professional Career Search Specialist and Job Hunting Consultants at Japanese-Experts.com offer a service - which will increase your chances of finding a job.

You see, to actually get a job in Japan - you have to already be in Japan. But, Japanese-Experts.com can help you if you really want to live and work here.

Remember; All foreign nationals who engage in any paid activities in Japan, require a visa that allows them to work here. In other words, coming to Japan on a tourist visa will get you into hot water.

And as you know, sushi and water - don't mix!
