Tips for the Job Hunter!
Know the personality of your interviewer
The Good, Bad, and the Ugly....
...........................................................................

back...

You know, what job hunters need to understand is that when you interview for a job - you are going to meet an interviewer who is going to try to find out a flaw about you, without you knowing it.

The design of an interview is simple: Weed out the bad ones!

Here, we help you stay planted. What you need to know are the tricks of passing an interview, by knowing the different styles of interviews. Tricks of the Trade!

So, if you are going on an interview in Japan, Australia, or America, you may want to know your interviewers style. You see, when you can recognize the interviewer's style - you can quickly adjust your approach for a better outcome in your favor. That's the power you have in interviews.

Anyway, here is a list of styles that I have used - and that others use to interview candidates for jobs in Japan or Hawaii:

.............................................

The Hard Core Interviewer:

The Style of The Hard Core Interviewer: Never smiles. Has a military style attitude.

What you should do: Just " be cool " and go the full interview. This style is used to see if you can handle the pressure. After the interview, you will be best friends.

.............................................

The One Topic Interview:

The Style The One Topic Interview: Only questions you about one topic. One. Just one....

What you should do: Answer the one topic interviewers one topic questions. That's all you can do. When you meet another manager or interviewer in that same company, you can ask more questions.

.............................................

Sloppy Joe Interviewer:

The Style Sloppy Joe Interviewer: Asks questions one right after another about many topics. You get confused as to why the interviewer is asking about many topics within a five minute span.

What you should do: Here, you should think multitasking and presentation skills. Answer all questions and do it with great enthusiasm.

.............................................

The Trick Question Interview:

The Style The Trick Question Interview:: This style interviewer will ask you a few small general questions, and then BAM! One very interesting and meaningful question - like:

If you could meet, and ask a question to five people in history, like George Washington or Einstein, who would they be - and what would you ask them?

What you Should do: Answer the question. It's just a question to hear you think outloud. The interviewer is watching how you think and come to solutions and present answers.

.............................................

The Best Friend Interview:

The Style The Best Friend Interview: This style is designed to get you to say something that you would not say if you were in a Hard Core Style interview.

What you should do: Also be friendly. But, do not say anything bad, wrong, negative, or otherwise unflattering about you or anyone. Be cool and don't let them see you sweat!

.............................................

Well, that's it for today. As you know, there are always people trying to trick you for information - in interviews and in daily life.

Be cool and move on.....
