SMB Sales Manager [ 16m JPY ]

Job Description:

Working in this new direct hire role for a global player in IT security, you will leverage their infrastructure to deliver subscription-based services online, offering easy to manage services where there is no software for customers to install and no upgrades to manage. All offerings are 'multi-tenant', meaning a single instance of the offering is used by all customers at the same time. Included from our client are software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms for providing our client's technologies to customers in the cloud as online services, including early warning services that provide actionable security intelligence to customers using alerts and notifications based on global data feeds.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and sales management to the Japan hosted services group SMB sales team and personally contribute to the overall growth and success of the hosted services business. This individual will carry an individual and team quota and will drive recurring revenue for the assigned region, cultivating and following up on prospects and consistently closing sales in their targeted geography.

· Achieve monthly team sales targets through management and development of the Corporate sales team in day-to-day operations and personal quota contribution

· Assist sales reps in qualifying, negotiating and closing large deals

· Ensure that established sales tracking and performance monitoring and measurement processes are managed. Monitor sales opportunities, closing sufficient business to exceed budgets, building a continuous pipeline of future, deliverable business.

· Review team sales reports and prepare team sales projections and forecasts as and when required by management

· Interact with senior management to establish sales goals in accordance with overall goals of the company as well as participation in the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan for the Company

· Interface to the Product Management and Marketing teams, feeding back market information to ensure the product roadmap meets the short and long-term needs of the customer base.

· Assist in design of sales and marketing programs

· Manage lead generation to sales closure

o Understand and experience in working with lead generation either owning this directly or in conjunction with marketing

o Experience in managing the metrics of leads > opportunities > deals and managing change around these.

Requirements

· Bachelors degree

· Experienced sales manager in SMB segment o SMB defined as 100 users to 750 users approx o Telemarketing / tele-sales is mandatory

o History and experience in leading teams that also visit customers.

o Direct selling to customers is mandatory

· History of growing teams from small to mid-size/large

o Need someone who has ability to start small and can create a team rather than manage an existing

o Ability to select, hire , train and develop staff Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills

- Japanese and English required
